National League Preseason Rankings

Top 10

1. Seattle Spectacular Views

Last year’s NL champs start the season atop the rankings. With a revamped rotation and the arguably the best bullpen in the league, expect them to pick up where they left off last regular season.

2. Charlotte Knights

Returning with 99% of its’ ML team, Charlotte should be playing well into “October.” With one of the best rotations in the World and newly acquired catcher Dustin Crosby, there’s no reason for Charlotte not to eclipse the 100-win mark this year.

3. Kansas City Bush Leaguers

Formerly the KC Cheetahs, the Bush Leaguers went through major reconstructive surgery last year. If the team’s core stays intact this season, expect them to be major contenders. Yamid Vega is a serious MVP threat.

4. Boston Mets

Last year’s NL championship series runner-up, Boston is getting older. Mostly a club full of over achievers, you’d still be a fool to bet against a club boasting middle infielders Corey Purcell and 2-Time MVP Nick Black.

5. Vancouver Mountain Lions

Last years hottest second-half team looks to be the best in their respective division. With a very solid squad, they are looking to have a more consistent season and get into the playoffs. Expect the richest man in the World, Josh Clancy to have another outstanding season.

6. Salem Slugs

Salem under achieved a bit last year but should improve upon last year’s 86-76 record with help of some young faces. Salem’s offense was already good and the addition of Lariel Padilla and Phil Saitou should boost that even more.

7. Minnesota Lakers

Just two years removed from the World Series, Minnesota is still a very good team but will have an uphill battle in one of the toughest divisions in the World. Minnesota is still good at every position and should challenge for a playoff spot.

8. Madison Mmmhmmmm!

With virtually the entire Season three free agent class coming to Madison, many are jumping onto the Mmmhmmm! bandwagon. They are certainly stacked on talent and should be right in the mix down the stretch.

9. Huntington Hackers

Huntington didn’t make any major moves this offseason but still looks to field an above average squad. Expect guys like Louie Franco to continue their onslaught on NL pitching.

10. Jacksonville Ginormous Hooters

This will be an interesting team to watch if youngsters like Erv Richardson, Luis Mantalban, and Steve Bennett can take it to the next level.

The Rest

11. Baltimore Barksdales

12. New York Gridlock

13. Rochester Red Wings

14. Tacoma Thunderbirds

15. San Diego Mad Friars

16. Jackson Delta Blues

8?? I seem to doubt 100+ wins will only be good for 8th in the NL...
